Using recycled and upcycled materials wherever possible, sustainability is literally built into the walls of Wahaca restaurants. It’s also the UK’s first carbon-neutral restaurant group, it disposes of its food waste properly, and its in the midst of a war on straws. Not only that, but it warms its water by harnessing the heat generated from its fridges.
What we love
You'll reliably find a Wahaca in most UK cities. In an industry that’s constantly battling waste, Wahaca flies the flag for running restaurants sustainably – by harnessing the heat generated by its fridges to heat its water, as one such example – and shows that restaurants both big and small can make a difference.
