Boomerang Bags is a network of over 800 communities around the world. They tackle plastic pollution by collecting waste fabric pieces and offcuts and turning them into reusable bags and other products. Not only does it divert waste from landfill, but it connects communities, enabling them to make bags and tackle waste where they are.
What we love
The beauty of the Boomerang Bag is that you can tackle material waste where you are, encouraging communities to club together to cut down on waste and create something new. The focus is on creating connections, reducing social isolation, upcycling fabrics, and distributing the bags meaningfully to spread the awareness and foster sustainable behaviour.
