Marlene Huissoud is an experimental designer and artist. Her studies in the textile futures programme, at Central St Martins, investigated the use of insect's waste materials – from the honeybee to Indian silkworm – to inspire sustainably-designed products.

What we love

Marlene looks at naturally sourced materials to create new objects. Her textile creations challenge us to look at the materials we use, the way we make things and ask if nature can offer us some guidance.
