Duratrack sleepers are made from around 85% recycled plastic, meaning that, for every kilometre of track laid, 64 tonnes of plastic waste is recycled and saved from landfill. With a lifespan of up to 50 years, Duratrack brings new life to used plastic, whilst outliving traditional sleepers at the same time.
What we love
This circular material is going mainstream, having been type approved for mainline trials! Duratrack has been installed at Richmond Station and Wyndham Vale Train Stabling Facility in Melbourne, and two Queensland mainline sites. Duratrack is long lasting, brings down maintenance costs and is totally recyclable at the end of its life - truly innovative and circular! Duratrack Railway sleepers helps you recycle plastic into large scale infrastructure applications that will drive the circular economy more effectively.
